DISASTER PREPAREDNESS DONE RIGHT.
Whether you're single, have a family, or hope to prepare your small business team, we have the training and expertise to help you handle any contingency. Don't worry: we're not here to frighten you; we'd much rather arm you with information.
Disaster preparedness isn't an investment in tragedy—it's a rational response to potential catastrophe—a way of stacking the deck in your favour--just in case. However, without guidance, developing a plan, securing the necessary supplies, and getting the proper training can be a daunting prospect.
That's where we come in. We offer cost-effective, comprehensive training in urban and wilderness survival. Are you going it alone? No problem, we offer small classes and one-on-one coaching. Newly married? Take advantage of our couples discounts and get trained together! Launching a small startup? Let us help you integrate disaster preparedness into the very fabric of your enterprise. Together, we'll forge a partnership built on trust, and you'll gain the peace of mind that comes with being ready for the unthinkable—come what may.

ONGOING EDUCATION.
Your training doesn't end when your course does. Here at Ready To Thrive, we're firm believers in lifelong learning. So, if we make changes or updates to our training content or curriculum, you will be the first to know about it. In addition, we offer 'train the trainer' courses so organizations can provide in-service disaster preparedness training for their own staff members.
ONLINE SUPPORT.
We encourage everyone, visitors and clients alike, to join our forum, where you can get answers to your most pressing questions. This forum is moderated by staff who are here to help. Our intention is to build an online community where people can freely share new information and mentor one another, so that everyone can contribute and become better prepared themselves.
BUILDING COMMUNITY.
Through our online forum and organized local meet-ups, we hope to establish real and lasting relationships in neighbourhoods across the Lower Mainland. Together, we can all become part of the solution, by building mutual-aid networks comprised of dedicated people who are trained and ready to help in a crisis.
DON'T MERELY SURVIVE. THRIVE.
Disasters, by their very nature, catch people off-guard. Not because people are lazy; they simply live in denial about their need to prepare. We get it: disasters are no fun to think about. But the costs of not considering them, of not readying yourself and your loved ones for their eventuality, can be devastating.
More often than not, people perish because of poor judgement, which proper training could have prevented. Survivors, on the other hand, struggle with the sudden realization that their lives have been upended—and they’ve been caught short. This newfound stress is compounded when they reach out for help and discover the emergency services system has collapsed under the weight of more calls for help than it can possibly respond to. Like many, you may find yourself sitting in the cold and dark, wishing you had done more to prepare.
Take a moment to peruse the news footage on YouTube covering any recent disaster, and the same sentiments are echoed by victims: “I never thought this could happen to me,” or “I’ve lost everything and don’t know where to turn.” While it's heartbreaking to hear, imagine what they’d be saying if they were well-trained, and had the appropriate survival gear, food, water and medicine on-hand. Their outlook and disposition would be altogether different.
Take a deep breath, and know this: becoming a disaster victim is not a foregone conclusion. In fact, you’ve already taken a critical first step by visiting us to learn more about preparedness. That motivation, together with some critical training, can dramatically change outcomes should the unthinkable occur.
If you've got a few minutes, check out our course offerings in the Training section above. Peruse the Gear section to explore some terrific items we've discovered along the way. Or engage in our Forum to share and discuss disaster preparedness topics with others in your area. There's no time like the present to arm yourself with life-changing (and potentially life-saving) information.
Finally, let us help you become an agent of change—for your family, for your friends, for your community. Time is of the essence and we need to get the word out. To do that, we need people like you—people of action; people resolved to make a difference; people who refuse to be victims; people who prepare themselves not only to survive, but to thrive. No matter what. Are YOU ready to thrive?
